DETAILS AND INSTRUCTIONS:

Location: CrossFit Soco 110 W. Las Vegas St. Colorado Springs, CO 80903 

Check-in: Friday Jan 18th 5:00-8:00pm and Saturday Jan 19th 6:30am-7:45am. We will have a link to the Waiver you will need to sign here. To save time print it out and bring it. Arrive early on Saturday and come to early registration on Friday if you can to save yourself and event staff time. We will except NO late registrations. At check in you will receive your event t-shirt and information about your heat. One team member can check you both in, you will just have to have both waivers. (If you are a SoCo member, we already have a waiver on file for you)

WAIVER.

Raffle:  We are doing a 50/50 raffle!! Head to the merch table to purchase tickets for 1$ and have a chance to win some major cash! We also will have an athlete raffle with some killer prizes from our sponsors. Check your swag bag for you ticket. YOU HAVE TO BE PRESENT TO WIN! 

Spectator Challenge: Their will be two spectator challenges. SIGN UP EARLY at the Merch area!!! First 24 people for each challenge can participate and win some great prizes from Paleo Treats and Salsa Brava! 

Staff & Volunteers: Mandatory meeting before the competition, FRIDAY NIGHT AT 4PM AND 6PM. Please arrive Saturday at 6:00am. You will get a t-shirt, swag, and free food on the day!

Schedule: WOD movement standards will start promptly at 7:45 am. There will also be a Athlete and Judge Q&A during this time as well.  The first WOD starts at 8:30am and a schedule will be available with your heat times. Please pay attention so you don't miss out. You will need to check-in before your heat is going to start.  Awards will be around 4:30 or 5pm.

Tent City: If you would like to set up a tent, their will be space in front of Soco in the main parking lot! No cars please.  

Food: Don't even worry about bringing food The Paleo Wagon and The Local food trucks will be in our parking lot serving up some yummy food all day! Also Urban Steam around the corner from SoCo will be open for fancy coffees! 

Parking: Due to the fact we will be using a lot of property for the event, there is going to be NO parking in the lot right in front of SoCo.  You will need to park across the street or a few doors down. Signs or people will help guide you. Please be respectful when parking, we do not want anyone to get towed. We encourage you to carpool!!!

 WODS: The WODs will be posted on Thursday evening to give you enough time to look them over and watch videos. Please watch the videos and read the standards. If you have questions please ask. There will be three events and one final. The WODs will be posted on the Facebook page along with YouTube. https://www.facebook.com/SocoCompetitions

ATHLETES, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO STUDY THE WODS AND STANDARDS. We will not be conducting a long, comprehensive movements and standards meeting the morning of the event, only a brief Q&A.  If you have any questions about the WODs or the movement Standards, email info@sococompetitions.com, or ask them during the Q&A Saturday morning.

SCORING: For FrostFit we are going to do our best to keep track of the total amount of work each team does on a cumulative basis throughout the entire competition.  We will do this by keeping track of the total amount of weight moved in combination with reps and distance to calculate a total “work” score for each WOD.

That score will then accumulate from WOD to WOD so at the end of all 3 WOD’s there will be one huge score that is a combination of total weight moved, reps performed, distance traveled during all 3 WOD’s.

Example:   WOD 1 Team 1: Total weight moved = 600k plus 50 reps.  Score = 650 WOD 1 Team 2: Total weight moved = 500k plus 60 reps.  Score = 560.

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers of all divisions. Prizes will include cash and other goodies.
